In to the instructor and they were projected for everyone in the class to see and comment on. Also, there was no opportunity to fix your image’s shortcomings in the printing process. What you shot was what you showed. Tri-X reversal images are beautifully rich -- almost velvety. Thanks for reminding me of that process

Oops! Didn’t realize my comment would be published when I hit return -- oh, look! It says ’send.’ Anyway, after shooting in many formats and working in the darkroom for several years, I took a photography class in college in which we shot in 35mm, put the film through a reversal process, and ironed the result into slide mounts. Then we loaded them into a carousel to take to class. The approach was brilliant for several reasons: you handed them in to the instructor and everyone could see them
